The Wellford Police Department is committed to reducing traffic accidents and traffic fatalities by using state of the art speed measuring devices, enforcing traffic laws, and having ZERO tolerance for drunk drivers. Officers routinely attend specialized classes to advance their knowledge in traffic enforcement, drug detection, and DUI enforcement. The Wellford Police Department is committed to the citizens of Wellford and other travelers, by providing them with the safest roads in the state of South Carolina to travel on.
